I am a qualified Clinical, Solution-focused Hypnotherapist, registered with the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH). Our hypnotherapy sessions will offer knowledge and understanding of why we do the things we do, enabling you to make positive changes for a happier life.
Solution-focused hypnotherapy is psychotherapy and hypnosis combined. It is as it sounds – it focuses on the solution, rather than the problem. It is a positive, future focused therapy that enables you to achieve change in a relatively short period of time.
Hypnosis is simply a state of relaxed, focused attention. In this state your subconscious mind is responsive to suggestion. These suggestions are designed to be positive and help you achieve the desired changes in your life.
What hypnosis isn’t
Hypnosis is not what we may see in the media, films, or books. It does not involve a swinging clock and you can not be hypnotised against your will. The therapist cannot make you act like a chicken – your subconscious mind will reject any inappropriate suggestions.
What to expect
Solution-focused Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process, where the therapist and client work together to establish and achieve desired goals to live a happier, more relaxed life. Change happens if you want it to. You must be committed to your sessions and prepared to take relevant steps to achieve your goals.
The sessions are structured, the first part of each session we will discuss your positives and the progress you’ve made. By using specific techniques, I will then support you to visualise a specific and achievable future. Then I will guide you into a relaxed state of hypnosis, allowing your subconscious mind to take control to achieve your desired goals.
These sessions are positive and encouraging which allows you to talk positively and freely, focusing on your positives and achievements, rather than the problem.
